15 Day Atheist Challenge - Day 8

Question: What’s your political alignment? Does your atheism influence how you vote and how you feel on issues?

Answer: I consider myself a progressive, and I am far to the left of the Democratic Party on many issues. Although I lean to the right on a few issues, I have genuine dislike for most of what the Republican Party stands for. I’m not sure that my atheism influences my voting much because I so rarely have the opportunity to vote for atheist candidates. However, it certainly influences how I prioritize political issues. Separation of church and state and atheist civil rights would be prime examples.
